Ranthambore National Park: A Boon for the Wildlife and Society of Ranthambore

“The glorious 257 years of Ranthambore- Happy Birthday Ranthambore!”

Have you ever thought of why and how a national park comes into existence? What are the quality features that a particular area must have before declaring it a wildlife reserve? Some of the key factors on which the respective declaration takes place under the guidelines of the Government and forest department are, firstly the availability of dense forest area, secondly enough water resources, and thirdly its pleasant natural ambiance. While focusing on this, these factors were justified well in the case of Ranthambore due to which it was declared as a prominent wildlife destination in the country.

Ranthambore is blessed with such a decent climate and mesmerizing beauty of Aravali hills that plays a major role in enhancing the beauty of its nature. Being a home of a famous wildlife reserve, Ranthambore National Park has raised the fame of its nearby areas for which there’s a constant footfall of tourism in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. As Ranthambore is a hub of nature and wildlife, it is highly noticed that exploitation of not only nature but also the society which is a major hindrance in the field of tourism.

A few days back, a grand event of Sawai Madhopur Foundation Day was organized in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan which was a great means of passing a message of forest conservation and wildlife preservation. However, this event was aimed at promoting the Ranthambore Tourism while highlighting the art, culture, folk colors, and its soothing ambiance which needs to be preserved for the future. Basically the event was conducted under the guideline of the government and tourism department of Rajasthan and everyone participated in many different ways by which people are guided well of what they can do more for the betterment of the society.

Our participation in Sawai Madhopur Foundation Day
Maa Ashapura Farm has participated in this event in a way of spreading awareness of nature & forest conservation, health & wellness, and the need for preserving the bread of Marwari Horses. We believe that the well-being of society and nature is in our hands and it is very necessary to conserve both together.

Since we are associated with encouraging eco-tourism in Ranthambore from ages, where the only aim is for sustainable development and upliftment of backward regions of society. We are highly engaged in social causes that are an inbuilt part of the society which is needed to be taken care of for the nourishment of the society, especially the people who are unable to earn their livelihood.

What did we endeavor in this?
As there was full media coverage in the celebration of Sawai Madhopur Foundation Day, it becomes easier for us to broadcast our message of nature and forest conservation and a key point of saving the rarest breed of Marwari Horses which is only owned by Maa Ashapura Farm in Ranthambore.

Horse Walk - a Horse walk for 6 to 7 kilometres was conducted that covers the nearby areas including the villages of Ranthambore. This walk was mainly aimed at raising awareness about the Royal horses of India which were previously owned by the former Rajput kings, Marwari Horses which are now got extinct.

Forest Conservation - As Ranthambore is a home of large forest areas, it is very essential to conserve the forest to maintain its wealth and beauty all together in a better way. As forests are the lungs of Planet Earth, there is a special need of protecting the land from erosion.

Health & Nature - Since Ranthambore is blessed by nature and loved the most by travellers, it is more essential than the beauty of this place to remain the same or enhance as of today. Thus with the medium of this event, we gave our message to the general public that no harm should be caused to nature in any way. As we have already taken our initiative of preserving nature by involving in the way of Organic Farming which enhances the beauty of nature in its best way.

All the activities of Maa Ashapura Farm are conducted in such a way that our guests can volunteer in the backward regions so as to make them know how is the lifestyle and what they can do for the upliftment of the areas.

We are highly thankful for the media, AD Madhusudan Singh and Dr. SP Singh…
because with their support we could convey our message on a larger scale for the prosperity of wildlife and society in Ranthambore.
